_Marble City Glassworks_ invites you to join us at the Rose Center for the
2009 _Mountain Makins Festival in Morristown, TN_.
_Mountain Makins_ is a folk life/crafts festival celebrating the traditions
of Appalachia through traditional music and dance, storytelling, regional
authors, fine art, juried crafts, skilled demonstrations, a variety of
delicious food, children's activities and more. The festival takes place
inside and outside the Rose Center, an 1892 school building which is now an
historical museum and cultural arts center.
The _34th Annual Mountain Makins Festival_, recipient of the _Southeast
Tourism Award of Excellence for 2004_, listed as a _Great Escape_ by the New
York Times in 2002, and named by the Southeast Tourism Society as a _Top 20
Event In The Southeast_ for October 2001 and most recently for October 2008,
will be celebrated at Rose Center on _Saturday, October 24, 2008_, from
10:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M. and _Sunday, October 25, 2008_, from 11:00 A.M.
until 5:00 P.M.

Melting Glass
We have been charging the furnace since this morning. We should have beautiful clear glass for Saturday.
Charging: Adding raw glass to a hot funace and melting the glass to a workable consistancy.
