A Fine Craft Fair

The Foothills Craft Guild is pleased to present our 44th Annual Fine Craft Fair in November, 2010! This event showcases the high-quality, handmade crafts of over 140 juried Guild members and several invited guest artists. Featured at the show are various craft demonstrations and a hands-on Kids' Craft Booth.
Please join us for a unique shopping experience in the historic Jacob Building! If you like to purchase gifts made in Tennessee or enjoy using or displaying fine craft items in your home, then this is the show for you. Pottery, woodwork, fiber arts, jewelry, printmaking, sculpture, and more - there is something for everyone. All of our exhibitors have had their work approved through a rigorous standards jury process and are present at the show to talk to customers. All our guild members live and work in Tennessee; your support of A Fine Craft Fair keeps many Tennessee crafts artists thriving!

Marble City Glassworks invites you to join us at the Rose Center for the 2010 Mountain Makins Festival in Morristown, TN.

Mountain Makins is a folk life/crafts festival celebrating the traditions of Appalachia through traditional music and dance, storytelling, regional authors, fine art, juried crafts, skilled demonstrations, a variety of delicious food, children's activities and more. The festival takes place inside and outside the Rose Center, an 1892 school building which is now an historical museum and cultural arts center.

The 35th Annual Mountain Makins Festival, recipient of the Southeast Tourism Award of Excellence for 2004, listed as a Great Escape by the New York Times in 2002, and named by the Southeast Tourism Society as a Top 20 Event In The Southeast for October 2001 and most recently for October 2008, will be celebrated at Rose Center on Saturday, October 23, 2010, from 10:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M. and Sunday, October 24, 2010, from 11:00 A.M. until 5:00 P.M.

Admission is $5 for adults, $1 for children ages 6 through 12, and free for children 5 years and under.

The purchase of a Preview ticket is also a weekend pass into the Festival. Tickets for Preview night are $25 and must be purchased in advance. To purchase a Preview ticket, stop by the Rose Center office, call 581-4330, or e-mail postmaster@rosecenter.org.

We were asked to create a special commemorative award incorporating a mercury vapor light. The result is this beautiful one of a kind sculpture. Custom projects are our specialty.
